Today, I will do a tutorial for making two pretty 3d background rakshabandhan cards
using @craftyscrappers

PREMIUM WHITE CARDSTOCK

WHITE finalBLENDING_560x768.jpg

Which is around 200GSM  in thickness,Double Coated- Mat Finish. And is ideal for stamping,Embossing, or Distressing. it Blends so well when using markers or watercolor pens for coloring. It has a Smooth surface allowing for blending and water coloring and the best part is this premium card stock an be used for making paper flower and it is so sturdy which helps in making Card bases.

I will also be using @craftyscrappers newly launched stencils,

2-IN-1 3D DESIGNS”HEXAGON PATTERN” stencil

cs-stnl-37-2IN1-HEXAGON PATTERNS].jpg

Which are unique in its own way. They help you create endless patterns, you can twist and turn to create your patterns accordingly or just lay them on top of each other to create some really interesting 3D patterns. i just love it 🙂

And along with the beautiful 3d stencil i have also used the versatile and one of my favorite stamp set among the so many other stamp sets that @craftyscrappers have,

NO#1:BRO & SIS

st-fest-51no-1bro&sis].jpg

This is an amazing stamp set, the focal images on this stamp set are just so pretty…
The boy with the best brother stash and the girl with the best sister stash,.. its just so
beautiful. @craftyscrappers has a wide collection of gorgeously hand illustrated stampsets to choose from which are so versatile to use and pocket friendly.

so without further ado, lets start with the step by step tutorial….

Heres the final look of my cards:

Untitled-1.png

step1.png

I used Craftyscrappers premium white cardstock and  3D 2-IN-1DESIGN- hexagon stencil ( It contains 2 pieces of stencils) for the background of my card.

IMG_20180803_174613.jpg

step2.png

I placed the First stencil over the cardstock and blended with yellow ink.
IMG_20180803_174628.jpg
step3.png
After that i placed the second stencil over the previously yellow stenciled background and blended with orange ink.
IMG_20180803_174742.jpg
This is how it looks once the orange ink is applied over the previously stenciled background.
IMG_20180803_174932.jpg
step4
I wanted to create a 3d look so I again placed the second stencil and applied some yellow ink and got a really  beautiful 3D background.
IMG_20180803_175059.jpg
Check this out, such a pretty 3d design….
IMG_20180805_145609.jpg
step5
Next i kept the background for my card aside, and started working
on the front of the card.
I stamped the sentiment ‘because i have a sister i’ll always have a friend‘ sentiment from the stampset  No#1 bro and sis on a panel of white cardstock and used flower and leaf die cuts and adhered all the elements on stencilled background.
card1.jpg
step6
I was carried away with the beautiful 3D 2-IN-1 HEXAGON PATTERNS stencil that i created another card in the shades of blue.
For the second card i used shades of blue inks and went with the same procedure
( light color first then dark and again light)
Here is how my second card looks:

Here is closer look at both of my cards:

MIRROR FLUTTERING BUTTERFLIES FAIRY CARD:a brief tutorial-DT:PRIYADARSHINI

Hello everyone,
This is Priyadarshini, Creative Designer @craftyscrappers
and today I have a different card project.

Today I am doing an inspiration post for Craftyscrappers using Mirror image technique here. Mirror image technique has become so popular these days and works best with asymmetrical stamps. I have done this with digital images but this is the first time with stamps.

FOR ALL VIDS AND BLOG WRITEUPS.jpg

For today’s post I am using Fluttering butterflies,

ST-ANL-05.jpg

  Mirror mirror-reverse stamp set

st-mix-06.jpg

and Fairy stamp from Craftyscrappers.

st-min-02.jpg

The butterfly stamp is too beautiful to use and lovely to colour.

So here’s my Finished MIRROR FLUTTERING BUTTERFLIES FAIRY CARD

A BRIEF TUTORIAL:

  • 1. I removed the foam pad from my Misti tool and placed a piece of acetate and placed my stamp (stamping side facing up) on it.
  •  I positioned the mirror stamp to line with the stamp. Once I close the Misti door, the mirror stamp will stick on the door.
  • I inked the stamp and when I close the misti door the ink gets transferred to the mirror stamp. I repeated this 2-3 times so the mirror stamp gets a lot of ink.
  •  I immediately removed the stamp and kept the foam pad and sheet of card stock and closed the misti door.
  • The stamped image on the mirror piece gets on the card (need to add a lot of pressure for the image to get transferred well)
  •  I stamped a normal image of the butterfly and the fairy.
  •  I coloured them with pencils and fuzzy them.
  •  I embossed a card stock and rubbed some distress ink on the raised portions. I added some dots with my silver gel pen.
  •  Stamped the sentiment with added a small piece of twine from back of fairy to make it look like she is carrying the message.
  •  I added some foam tape to the butterflies and added them to the card. I added the entire piece to a top fold note card.
