A LITTLE  ABOUT ME
“I am Shikha Agrawal and I am a Passionate crafter and i reside in dhule, with my mom-dad and sisters and own an art gallery S2 Art Connection.
ideally completed fashion designing and
i love crafting and arts since my childhood.
I am into this venture from last 5 years professionally. Initially I started making explosion boxes, pop-up card, bouquets, scrapbooks etc.. as i started exploring the huge world of crafting my passion tends me to do/learn many more new things. Basically my mom is also an artist but she could get any platform.. i therefore, represent myself as her skills that are passed on to me.”
MY CRAFTING STYLE:
Particularly i dont tend to have any crafting style.. but yes i love much more many innovative cards and especially scrap booking..but these days i have been fan of stamping as well as heartfelt creations. i love working on my craft projects with low music and lots of stuff scattered all around me.. It refreshes after crafting especially when i am upset or low.
MY INSPIRATION:
Firstly as i said earlier its definitely my mom..
i love when people around me, who appreciate my work and it boost me to do more beautiful projects..
as i started exploring crafters my inspirations are:
vinita jain
anita kejriwal
darshana savla
rajni chawla.
MY VIEWS ABOUT craftyscrappers
I came to know about craftyscrappers through social media which was facebook.
i then started exploring their store, and the most amazing things i found there are cute, beautiful and versatile range of stamp collections that they have, ranging from a wide array of themes and especially Indian festivals and stencils ofcourse.
the stamp sets are really very unique plus they are affordable to everyone and the best thing is they are “MADE IN INDIA”.
They have a huge collection of art and craft supplies which are also pocket friendly and versatile in nature.
The shimmer pastes that they have are one of a kind and they are the first ones to ever launch such amazing products in india,
the pastes are too awesome and yummy i would say… 🙂
Their effects are just out of the world!
frankly i just love craftyscrappers!
for their entire collection of stamps and other wonderful products which are also made in india.

I have a huge lot of their products, especially stamps in my stash and i love them!!!

CARD #1: Birthday Card

1a.jpg

A BRIEF TUTORIAL:

  • On a watercolour card panel, I stamped the “BIRTHDAY” word using Craftyscrappers Simple alphabets set and coloured them with zig markers.
  • Stamped the remaining sentiment.
  • On another card, I stamped the images, colored them with zig markers and fussy cut them.
  • On a colored card base I mounted the panel with the sentiments using foam adhesive.
  • Next, using foam adhesive, mounted the images on the card.I have kept this card very simple.

SOME CLOSE-UPS:

CARD #2: Birthday Card
(Background creation technique)

2.jpg

A BRIEF TUTORIAL:

  • On a white card panel, I stamped the image using grey ink repeatedly to cover the entire panel.
  • Stamped the image, colored with zig markers and fussy cut it.
  • Heat embossed the sentiment using Versa mark and white embossing powder.
  • I wanted the background to be very subtle, so using a sheet of vellum, I covered the entire panel from the front and tuck the ends of the vellum under the panel (So I need not stick on the front as the adhesive will be seen through vellum)
  • Mounted this panel on a colored card base using foam adhesive.
  • Mounted the image and the sentiment on the vellum.
  • Lastly, added few enamel dots and googly eyes to the chameleon to complete my card.

So back to my tutorial now… And today i have a very special post where i will show you technique to use Craftyscrappers Fun-foils with stencils without any heat or laminator machine!

I am really grateful to Konica for giving me this opportunity!
I am so thrilled to be a part of the Guest Design team.

So for today’s tutorial I have made a gold foiled card using the pretty
You are so enchanting’ stamp set,

ST-BD-20[youaresoenchanting].jpg

The images in the stamp set are so cute and remind me of my favorite fairytale from childhood, Cinderella!

Mini Hearts stencil

cs-stnlm-11.jpg

The Hearts stencil is 4 x 6.5 inches in size. Such a small size helps to easily use it in the different parts of the card panel without adjusting.
The simple & sweet design can be used for different cards.

and Glitzy Gold Fun Foils

GLITZY GOLD.png

all from Craftyscrappers!
Fun Foils are such an easy way to add shine to our projects and can be used with their Fun Foil glue and even double sided tape.

Possible image 1

So moving on to my card, here is a step by step photo tutorial for the

YOU ARE SO ENCHANTING GOLD FOILED CARD

9.jpg

Untitled-1.png

step1
I distressed the entire panel of white cardstock with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide and sprayed a mist of water on it.

2.jpg

step2
I sponged Craftyscrappers Fun Foil Glue over the Hearts stencil with a blending tool.

3.jpg

step3
After that I placed the Glitzy Gold Fun Foil on the sponged part and pressed it using my bone folder on both sides of the panel. I also ran the panel along with the foil through my Big shot machine for added pressure. The Fun Foils give instant shine without added effort!

4.jpg

The panel looks like this :

5.jpg

step4
I stamped the princess image, colored it and then fussy cut it.

6.jpg

step5
I assembled everything on the card along with a die-cut white scalloped frame while foam mounting the princess image. I also white heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock.

CARDS#1
Underwater Ocean scene!

20180317_110305.jpg

I created this card as a Belated Birthday card for my friend.
As she love sharks and movie “Jaws”, so I created a special card for her!

So i created my underwater Ocean scene using
You are so jaw-some stamp set for Craftyscrappers.
st-bd-30[youaresojawsome].jpg
I have to say they are freaking adorable!
And there are all sort of details that make them one of a kind,
great tiny elements and so much fun to color.

along with Craftyscrappers Premium white Cardstock

WHITE finalBLENDING.jpg

Which is a double-coated matt finish carstock, Ideal for stamping/Embossing/Distressing.
The cardstock is around 200gsm in thickness and have a Smooth surface allowing for blending while using markers or water colors.

Untitled-1.png

step1

I stamped the shark images on the Premium white CS from CS in jet black Archival ink and colored them with my copic markers and created a textures of tiny dots for more interest and dimension.

20180306_121147

step2

At the outer edges I gave a thin coat of lighter grey copic marker and fussy cut them. The white sheet is so smooth with Mat finish, love the results and enjoyed coloring my image with markers! You must have this awesome white CS to give it a try!!!

20180306_121152

step3

Then on white card base to create my underwater scene, I drew a big stone at the bottom with my pencil and stamped some ocean weeds, coral reef images and all tiny elements. Colored them with my copic markers again.
20180306_121212.jpg
20180306_124711.jpg
step4
cs-stnlm-14FADING.jpg
I left the top space blank and applied different DI -Tattered rose, Salty ocean, mermaid lagoon, blueprint sketch using finger daubers to create an ocean scene. Then I blended some DI at the leftover blank space and flicked it with some water droplets.
20180306_130040.jpg
20180306_155512.jpg
Wow, love the amazing outcome, its look like real ocean edge and at the top most with different shades of blue hues!
step5

Created a speech banner with a cute sentiment holding by a jaw-some shark and created the whole scene!

20180317_110349.jpg

step6

I carried away the sentiment inside with Birthday wishes.
Stamped the Ocean waves using two shades of DI with a message bottle.
20180317_110502.jpg

I had so much fun making this card, I adore the ocean Pals.
You can create so many fun cards for different occasions using this one stamp set,
The possibilities are endless!

CARD#2
You are so Jaw-some
20180318_172220.jpg
Untitled-1.png
step1

Firstly I used my glittery paste leftover on the stencil from my last holi festival card, I keep that scrap sheet for my next creation and  I used it here!

20180306_182914.jpg

step2

I quickly placed my stencil on a white CS upside down and pressed firmly and used Ocean Waves Shimmer Spray through the stencil.

CS-SSP-02OCEANWAVES.jpg

(Important Tip:  Always try to use your products in an innovative style and never waste them!)

20180306_182905.jpg

step3

On a black card base I placed this stenciled panel and added a vellum sheet on it for the visible soft effect.

20180317_122053.jpg

step4

Using waves images from the You are so Jaw-some stamp set I stamped them in mermaid lagoon DI to create some ocean waves. Watercolored them using blueprint sketch and mermaid lagoon DI and fussy cut them. At the bottom panel, I added that ocean waved panel with  foam dots.

step5

Now time to stamp my shark images. I picked up two of the different images from the You are so Jaw-some stamp set. This time I heat embossed my images in Metallic Gold Sparkle EP. Using Soul eggplant and Ocean waves Shimmer spray colors from CS, I watercolored them, easily blended with water and added some tiny dots at the upper body part of the shark images. Added those googly eyes to look like more real! Adhered them with foam dots.

20180318_172232.jpg

step6

Added some sea foam waves on the white part of waves for more dimension using Snow Marker and heat embossed them!
Added a sentiment on a black strip in Metallic Gold Rich Pale EP and finished it off with some water dew drops blings!

20180318_172220.jpg

Card 3

Have a FIN-Tastic day Friends
20180317_110607.jpg
Untitled-1.png
step1

Now for this card, once again I used my  Splash stencil as a background creator
cs-stnl-20[SPLASH].jpg
which I used in my second card. Before drying those DI, I quickly sprayed some water and placed my inked stencil upside down on a leftover piece of Premium white cardstock from Craftyscrappers.
Get the awesome monochrome marble effect of splashes, love it!!!
20180306_190220.jpg
By stamping these adorable shark images from You are so Jaw-some stamp set on a vellum sheet and heat embossed in opaque bright white EP, fussy cut them.

step2

Die cut some inverted scalloped frames included some from white foam sheet to give some dimensions to my layers.

For the sentiment I die cut Friend script out of a white foam sheet to make a good stack. Before I die cut my top layer, I added some sticky sheet to the paper. That way I added Sizzling Silver  foil from CS for the sentiment.

SIZZLING SILVER.png

20180306_205402.jpg

step3

I added  have a fin-tastic day sentiment from the same set in jet black.

CREATE-A-SCENE(roses) stencil Cards

Untitled-1.png

This is my first card:

first1.jpg

step1.png

To begin with, I took Craftyscrappers Premium white card stock and colored inks (Whichever available in my stash… you can see that I have clubbed the distress inks along with distress oxide) suitable for layering the flowers and the leaves.

p1.jpg

p2.jpg

step2.png

Once the layering was done, I fussy cut all the flowers and the leaves. and kept aside.

p3.jpg

p4.jpg

step3.png

Next, I started assembling them to make the card.
For the first card, I took three florals and few leaves. On a 4×6 side folding white card base, I adhered the first flower and a leaf directly onto it using liquid adhesive.

IMG_20180312_160858_2.jpg

IMG_20180312_161011.jpg

step4.png

Then I started layering the remaining elements using some foam adhesive.

IMG_20180312_161421.jpg

IMG_20180312_161741.jpg

step5

Once the layering was done, I used the sentiment from Craftyscrappers mini  Bloom stamp set

IMG_20180312_202224_2.jpg

step6

Added a few sequins from my stash and lastly added some fine details using a fine black marker and finished my card.

This is my Second card:

For my second card, I had just one flower and few leaves left. So I made a small 4″x4″ notecard. On a white card, I repeatedly stamped the sentiment from the Damask stamp set using grey ink.

step2

Next, I arranged the flower and the leaves on the card. Layered few of them with foam adhesive to create some dimension to the card.

Lastly, added some fine details (Visible in close-ups) to the card using Nuvo drops. and finished my card.
