FLORAL & TEXTURES CARDS-DT PRIYADARSHINI

Hello everyone,

This is Priyadarshini, Creative Designer @craftyscrappers. This month we have a new challenge with theme ‘Floral & Textures’ at our blog. So my post for today is going to show 4 cards with this theme. This theme has endless possibilities with cards, mixed media, scrapbooking, tags, etc…

CARD#1: CAS one layer card

This is my first car, a single layer card using our new release

Hello Sunshine stamp set

and bricks stencil. 

Its a 5 x 5 card and I stamped the floral image on the corner of the card and colored with pencils. I randomly added the stencil on the background along with a sentiment. To finish the card, I added some liquid pearls. 

CARD#2: Stencil highlighting

For my second card, first I used some embossing paste using

Craftyscrappers honey comb stencil

for the background and let it dry. 

 

Then I used Dahlia flowers stencil,

I used coral berry ink for the flower and bamboo ink for the leaves. 
I used some color pencils, to highlight and give some shade to each petal in the flower and leaves.I worked my way from dark to medium for coloring. I put together the flower and leaves and added some liquid pearls to finish the card. 

(This technique works with any stamp floral, abstract, etc….)

 

CARD#3: Stamp highlighting

For the next card I am focusing on stamp highlighting. 

 

I used script stamp from Hello sunshine stamp set

for the background where I repeatedly stamped it on the background using evening gray inks. 
I die cut a square and did some stenciling using distress circles and added the sentiment and added this to a vellum square sheet. 

 

 

I stamped the flowers and leaves from Sending hugs stamp set

using lavender fields and frayed leaf for leaves.
I used color pencils to highlight the flowers and some of the leaves. (I didn’t highlight some of the leaves as my main focus is on the flowers)

I added some flower sequins from craftyscrappers to finish the card.

(Tip: This technique works only with solid flower stamps)

CARD#4: Texture background

 

My last card is here where my focus is on some texture using stencils and pastes. 

For the background, I used 2-in-1 diamond pattern stencils

along with Orchid dazzle texture paste

and Martina shimmer paste

(I used heat gun to dry it).
In a piece of card stock I used Abstract stencil with Fog dazzle paste and circle die cut and added a piece of vellum on top of the die cut.I added the sentiment on the vellum piece.
To make this card more better, I added foamiran flowers on one side of the circle.
I used double sided foam adhesive to add this card piece to the stenciled background.

DAZZLE TEXTURE PASTE & SHIMMER PASTE CARDS-DT MUGDHA GUJRATHI

So I have made two cards using craftyscrappers, 
Hello sunshine stamp set

 

 

along with the fabulous DAZZLE PASTE- Ballet

 

 

 

So here is my complete Dazzle Texture paste card.

 

 

 

A BRIEF TUTORIAL

1. For creating the background of the card i used craftyscrappers brick stencil and Ballet dazzle paste.
2. I placed the stencil over white cardstock and secured with masking tape then with the help of spatula i applied dazzle paste, this paste is settles very nicely and gives beautiful texture.
3. Then i stamped the the floral image from hello sunshine stamp set on watercolor paper and heat embossed it and colored it using camlin brush pens.
4. I fussy cut the colored image and adhered it over textured background using foam adhesive tape.
5. i used die cut smile as my sentiment and for second one i stamped it from same stamp set,fussy cut it and pasted it.

For my second card, i use the fabulous SHIMMER PASTE-LILAC

So here is my complete shimmer Texture paste card.

 

A BRIEF TUTORIAL

1. To create the background i used sentiment stamp from hello sunshine stampset , craftyscrappers arrow stencil and lilac shimmer paste.
2. I kept the stencil on the right side of the white cardstock and applied shimmer paste and let it dry then stamped the sentiment all over using tubby craft purple ink on the left side.
3. i stamped ,colored and fussy cut the floral image from stampset and adhered it over the textured background.
4. I pasted a dicut circle near the floral image and mounted the sentiment ‘Thanks a bunch’ over it.
5. i mounted the the entire panel of cardstock on purple and then black cardstock and added some black sequins.

MIXED MEDIA ALTERED HOOP WITH STAMPS,CHALKPAINTS,SPRAYS,PAINTS-DT ARPITA TORNAL

Hello My Crafty Friends…

ItsArpita here, creative designer @craftyscrappers
and today’s project is inspired by our ongoing theme Floral And Textures.

This is one of my favorite theme where you are given the privilege of using tons of different mediums to work with, like embossing both dry and wet, different kinds of poastes such as shimmer pastes, dazzle texture pastes,modelling pastes and what not’s to give dimension to your artwork.
So have you checked the newly launched floral stamps from  @craftyscrappers ,they are gorgeous in both designs and sentiments that come along the stamp sets,
and I will be using one of the stamps from their newly  launched stamps today to create me ,mixed media altered hoop.

To create my altered mixed media hoop i have used @craftyscrappers beautiful stamp set,

YOU ARE AMAZING

 

Along with shimmer paints butter chocolate
shimmer paints-fresh pear and shimmer paints–posy flamingo

 

 

 

SHIMMER SPRAY-TICKLED CHEEKS

 

and the fabulous chalk paint-Creamy banana

 

I also add a bit of shimmer paste-Splash

 

 

to add the shimmer to my creation.
The shimmer pastes are just wow!!! These are the first ones to be launched in India by @craftyscrappers and they are just so awesome to use. Not to mention, they come in 16 beautiful colors to chose from and are pocket friendly.
i just love the effect it gives to any project you are making!

 

 

 

I started this project with a complete different idea but the end result turned to be this.
I completely loved the effect and the way it turned out.

so here is my complete MIXED MEDIA ALTERED HOOP

 

A Brief  Tutorial

• I covered the hoop with a lace trim,to add texture stuck some texture stones and texture sand.then applied a thin coat of gesso.
• To add color i have used shimmer paints butter chocolate, fresh pearandposy flamingo and creamy banana chalk paint.
• To add a little more interest mixed some art stones withSplash shimmer paste and applied the mix randomly.
• To highlight some areas did some dry brushing with white gesso.
• used theYou Are Amazing stamp set  to make some of the elements and colored the flower with sweet sunshine and the bird withtickled cheeks shimmer spray.
• Next assembled all my elements on a piece of chipboard and with a chain hung it to the center of the hoop.

WALL DECOR WITH 3D STENCILS-DT ARPITA TORNAL

Hello My Crafty Friends…

Its me  Arpita, sharing with you all today a easy, fun wall decor.
@craftyscrappersrecently launched some really beautiful and one of a kind  2-IN-1 DESIGNS 3D stencils ,when i saw this stencil this was the first idea that popped in my head,these are fun stencils to play around with cause you can get very creative with them,create numerous patterns just with 1set .

I also have a video tutorial where i will demonstrate a step by step process on how you can create one for yourself.

Here is the 3d wall decor that i created:

 

 

 

 

 

To create my make, i have used craftyscrappers chalk paints:

 

Hazy Cucumber and Sweet tea rose

Craftyscrappers Matt-finish, acrylic chalk paints are ideal for mixed media projects and home-decor.

A Brief Tutorial

1. I have taken 4*4” sized wooden pieces,sanded them.
2. Gave it to 2 coats of white acrylic paint.
3. Using the Arrow Pattern stencil ,for each pannel created different patterns.
4. Finally added a few embelishments and I was done.

RAKSHABANDHAN CARD INSPIRATION-DT PRIYADARSHINI

where i will be showing you how i have used craftyscrappers stencils, shimmerpastes and one of a kind stamp sets.

A BRIEF TUTORIAL:

 

• First take @craftyscrappers premium white cardstock, fold it in half to create an a2 card.
• then take craftyscrappers stencil-splash and aligning it onto the cardstock, secure it with masking tape.
• once stencil, secured pour @craftyscrappers shimmer paste-sonoma, splash and cupcake and spread it out.
• once the pastes are dried, keep aside and work on the focal stamping and coloring.
• For this i have used the sentiment from @craftyscrappers stamp set- SUPER SIBLINGS and stamp it to the paper.
• color the images as per your liking and assemble everything on place.
• i have tied a brown string to create the rakhi as shown in the card.
