step1

Take a piece of cardboard, any colour corrugated sheet
and distress or archival inks.
step2
2.jpg
Create the background blending the inks using blending tool and glue a piece of corrugated sheet to the base.
step3
3.jpg
Now using the stamp set “Dots to Lines”  Stamp set from the store, stamp the image randomly and add white embossing powder to it.
Heat emboss the stamped area.

step4
4.jpg
Next I picked this lovely stamp set again from the store “You are so Enchanting” and stamped the images on a piece of white cardstock, colored them using faber castell color pencils and fussy cut them.

step5
5.jpg
Select other embellishments to go with your background, like flowers, chipbords, die cuts, pattern papers etc.

step6
6.jpg
Arrange and glue the elements to the cardboard.

step7
7.jpg
I added some more texture to the base by applying texture paste to the corrugated sheet, Used shimmer pastes  from the store. These are so good to use for any mixed media project and on any surface!
I also added some tint of gold paste .

BEAUTIFUL FUN-FOILED BACKGROUNDS:a video tutorial!

Hello Everyone,
Hope you are doing good and that you had loads of fun this diwali… 🙂
Well, im sure you all had!!!
Here I’m back at Craftyscrappers blog today and this time I have a Video tutorial on how i created some beautiful, sparkly backgrounds for cards using craftyscrappers Fun foils, for our ongoing challenge, “Sparkle it up”!!!
VIDEO1.jpg
This is the first time I’ve used foils in my cards and I really love the outcome…..
Craftyscrappers shiny transfer foils are professional grade and are proudly made in INDIA, and these super glitzy foils , add Stunning Sparkle and shine to your craft projects.
What stopped me till now was the investment in laminator machine for foiling….
But these fun foils are really fun to work with.
You don’t need any fancy tools for this.. and in my Video tutorial i will show how these can be easily used without a lamination machine and also work like a charm with Big shot and Cuttlebug machines, where you do not need heat to transfer the foils to your craft surfaces.
