Okay so moving on to the Video tutorial now…

  • For this canvas,
Place the canvas flat on the table.
  • Spray the shimmer sprays on the canvas and let them spread randomly and cover the entire canvas. Sprays used are Sweet sunshine, Grape juice and Sweet Pumpkin. Let it air-dry.
  • On a scrap green colored paper, put double tape on one side and die-cut leaves from the paper such that the leaf die-cuts have adhesive on the top.
  • Gently peel the backing paper and place the fun foil (Green colored) on the leaf. Burnish it properly. (You can even run it through the Big shot machine, for smooth spreading.)
  • Peel off to reveal the leaves covered with the foil.
  • Repeat the process to make 3 more leaves.
  • To form a wreath we need 4 leaves (if the leaves are big)
  • By now the canvas must have dried.
  • Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set, “santa’s christmas” in the center of the canvas. Arrange and adhere the leaves around the sentiment.
  • On a scrap paper put double tape, peel the backing paper and put red fun foil.
  • Punch out holes using a hole punch from the red foiled paper using the cherry red fun foils.
  • On another scrap paper draw a bell and fussy cut it.
  • Cover it with Glitzy gold fun foil in the same process.
  • Arrange and adhere the tiny red dots as cherries around the leaves on the canvas. Adhere the bells on the top of the canvas using foam adhesive.
  • There your holiday canvas is ready!

hi friends!
This is vani here and i m back at craftyscrappers blog with beautiful shabbychic card
and tag using the amazing fun foils, shiny shimmer pastes and fabulous shimmer sprays and off course with the beautiful peacock feather stencil.

Before starting with the tutorial ,

so gear up to share your beautiful creations to win exciting craftyscrappers goodies…

Now.. lets talk a little about the supplies that i have used.

Possible image 1

This is the first time i have used fun foils
To create both of my projects i have used, the

these fun foils are super shiny and are of professional grade .
They work well with any lamination machine available,
if you want to heat transfer using these super shiny foils or
they can also be used with Big shot and Cuttlebug machines, where you do not need heat to transfer the foils… which is great!!! since many of us do not have lamination machines at home, Craftyscrappers also have launched, the fun foil glue, that works perfectly with these fun foils. They come in 16 gorgeous colors to chose from as well.

Then i also used the amazing and one of a kind shimmer paste, that stand out from the rest of the products in the market.
The shimmer pastes that i used for the projects are

These shimmer pastes add a fabulous layer of shimmer and shine to any craft project  and you can use any kind of stencils with these shimmer paste to create beautiful sparkling details and add the touch of beauty to any card, scrapbook or mixed media.
The best thing about them is that these can be used on paper, cardboard, chipboard, acetate, wood, glass, mdf, fabric and even on layered stencils.
These shimmer paste r so smooth and so shiny… that i love to work with it and the results are super-duper awesome.

To create my artwork. i have also used the
shimmer sprays.
The shimmer sprays that i have used for my projects are :

GRAPE JUICE(CS-SSP-04)_677x768

The colors of these shimmer sprays are so intense and beautiful that you will fall in love with it.

Once dried i sprayed sweet pumpkin shimmer spray on the rest of the tag.
Once everything was dried, i applied the shimmer paste “butter” on the top and the bottom of the tag.
after that i applied double side tape on the sides of the tag and used the fun foil with the tape and rubbed it smoothly.
Finally i  removed the left over foil sheet and i was done.

BEAUTIFUL TAGS: a complete tutorial!

Hello friends,

This is Anila over the blog today,
and i have some tags tutorial to share with you today,
using different techniques and mediums.

Who doesn’t love tags… 🙂
Stampers have used tags for years to create mini works of art.
A tag is small that is not too  intimidating very easy and fun to create..
that is .. it’s okay, even if you mess up.
Tags are great for experimenting with new techniques, too.

So I created these three easy yet fun tags with stamps, inks,
sprays ,stencils and shimmer pastes…

Possible image 1

Here’s a look at the completed tags:

So lets begin with the tutorial…
(* picture heavy post!)

Possible image 1

To begin with, I took white colored ready tags…
You can even cut them from a white Cardstock,
of any size to create your own custom sized tags.
Ready made TAGS

Took the tag, secured it on the table with washi tape.
Then Secure the stencil over the tag with washi tape.
The stencil that i have used for this tag is from craftyscrappers
and its called,

Take sufficient amount of shimmer paste (Separate stencil and shimmer paste for each tag) and evenly spread it across/through the stencil.
The shimmer paste that i am using here is called,
Repeat the same for all the three tags.
After applying a generous layer of the shimmer paste,
I let it air-dry. (You can heat-set it too!)
(this is how they look…)
Once dry I sprayed two of the tag with the coordinating shimmer sprays from my DT kit. (Spray each tag separately)
The shimmer pastes and shimmer sprays are extremely versatile and beautiful in itself.
The shimmer sprays that i used here are,
SHIMMER SPRAY-Grape juice and SHIMMER SPRAY-Sweet Pumpkin
(this is how they look…)
For the third tag, I coloured the background using distress ink.
(Applying Distress inks on the craft mat and picked up the color with water brush)

Let the tags dry again.
(this is how they look…)

Next, I started layering the tags with pollens and lots of flowers.
I tried to use the matching colored flowers and pollens for each tag.
Like this stem color tag with coordinating flowers…
I stamped a seperate sentiment for each tag from Craftyscrappers stamp sets
and mounted them on the tag using foam adhesive.
I tied twines along with coordinating ribbon through the punched hole.
Lastly added matching sequins from craftyscrappers to add some elements.
Possible image 1
Here’s are some of the close-ups of the tags:

For this Tag, i have used the sentiment from the stamp set, “Doodly Blooms”.

For this Tag, i have used the sentiment from the stamp set, “Elephan-tastic Day!”

So that’s all for today!
It was really exciting playing with the shimmer pastes and the shimmer sprays.
Can you tell me which tag is your favorite?

I ‘m sure everyone of you must have some empty jam/honey/sauce glass bottles/Jars at home and if you are clueless what to do with those bottles…
Then, continue reading this post and learn with my photo tutorial..
How to covert those plain glass Jars/bottles in to a perfect Home Decor..

So let’s begin… ( picture heavy post)

Other Supplies used:

Chalk Paint – white

Jute chord

Prepare Surface

I took a empty glass Jar, cleaned it’s surface properly and applied a coat of gesso.
A layer of gesso makes the surface ready for painting.

Empty jar and gesso (before)

After one coat of gesso
Paint the background
Once dried, I painted its surface with white chalk paint ( you can use acrylics too) using sponge and let it air dry.

After applying chalk paint
Add Texture

Then I added the texture with Crafty Scrappers “Shimmer Paste” ( color – Dreams) using “Rose Bunch” stencil. You have to be very patient while doing this step…
I applied the Shimmer paste one side at a time and before applying it to another side ,
I let it air dry ( You can use heat gun to fasten this process :))
Close up to show the shimmer

Embellish it

I have used Jute chord, Metal charms,
Mulberry Roses & Crystal beaded Pollens
from Crafty Scrappers
to decorate my jar.
I loved the outcome…I hope you too…
some more shots.. 🙂

Isn’t it Beautiful..

Shimmer sprays-The Mixed Media Way!

Hello Friends,

Today I am so excited…..
This is my first post for Craftyscrappers as a design team member.
I have a beautiful inspiration project –
for you all where I have used a lot of Craftyscrappers products.

But before I talk more on these awesome products,
let me give you a glimpse of my work.
My inspiration behind this project are my two little princesses,
my daughters… Myra and Misha.
Possible image 1
A short HOW-TO,  make this piece:

I used a canvas board as my base.
Then I applied a coat of Gesso all over the board.
On one of the corner,
I used Rose Bunch stencil from Craftyscrappers

with modelling paste and let it dry.

I had an old crochet piece done by my mom which was little torn on half of one side…

i used the other half to create a beautiful semicircle pattern running on side of the board.
I stuck this using multi medium matte glue.
After that I applied one coat of Gesso all over on the crochet piece.
I made these flowers separately and colored them using distress inks.

Then they are hand molded to turn into blooms.
Center of flowers is enamel dots.
Once all the Gesso is dried,
i started with my favorite activity with my favorite Craftycrappers release…
The Shimmer sprays
I have used a mix of 3 colors in sprays…

The effect is awesome….
I think my project is already speaking about the goodness of these sprays….
definitely a must try for all crafters and non crafters too.
I have used heat tool to dry the sprays .
Then I used some quotes from “U SPARKLE” stamp set ….
(The stamp set that i used here is 5x5inch size, its the ideal size stamp set that can be used in all kinds of craft projects.)

Stamping with Craftyscrappers stamps is super cool…
as they are good with all surfaces.
I used black archival ink to do stamping.

Lastly I have stuck some embellishments like beads, Inka gold, printed quotes from Prima marketing  , resin frame, mdf ruler embellishment and Stampendous gold luxe mix to enhance the beauty.

Sharing some close ups now….
