step1.png

To create background I stamped Image from stamp-set called “Grunge Gears Background”, Its an amazing stamp set one should have in there stamp collection, I stamped image on white premium card-stock from Craftyscrappers, Again another must have product, the cardstock is matt finish so any stamping image or sprays goes really well with it.. This is how it looks :

img_20180806_152841312.jpg

step2.png

I glued down this stamp image on CD and colored it using Craftyscrappers Shimmer sprays “Muddy Pool”

img_20180806_153208442.jpg

This is how it looks once shimmer sprayed:

img_20180806_154456087.jpg

step3.png
Next I ripped some corrugated cardboard, also color it with same shimmer spray, apply some silver embossing powder & heat set it, I also distress the edges with black ink pad.

img_20180806_155807535.jpg

step4

I made circle using thin silver wire, I glue down corrugated cardboard on CD and then placed circle wrapped wire on it. I also added some shaker elements from Craftyscrappers called ” Midnight Party”, Next I took pieces of skewer stick and metal butterflies & colored it using black acrylic as you see in image below:

img_20180806_163147230.jpg

step5

I glued down all the elements on the CD using PVA glue and to give shimmer and sparkle I apply Shimmer paint metallic lustre “Bronze” using dry brush technique. Next I used dotted pattern stamp from stamp set called “INSPIRE” and apply some bronze embossing powder and heat set it to combine everything together. I also fuzzy cut sentiment from the same background stamp set and apply silver embossing powder and heat set it.

img_20180806_165831650.jpg

step6

I glued down the sentiment to the project and to lift those sentiments bit upwards I glue down some cardboard pieces behind the image and paste that on project, you can used double sided foam tape for this process too, I also added silver pearls and distress the whole project using black ink pad and Taaaaa-Daaaa, this is final look of the finished Project.

A BRIEF TUTORIAL:
  • Take a piece of Craftyscrappers Premium Cardstock (White).
  • Die cut the Mason jar image or simply draw the Mason jar and fussy cut it.
  • Sprintz the cardstock with a little bit of water and spray the Shimmer Sprays, Tickled Cheeks at the top and Dancing Peacock at the bottom ..I Just love these sprays..the shimmer is just enough to give your project a subtle yet shimmery look.
  • Place the snail stamp from the Craftyscrappers- Snail mail for you stamp set on a piece of acetate sheet with the stamping side up.
  • Cover it with any black coloured Dye ink pad..do not use archival ink, it didn’t work for me at all!
  • Place the stamp from the “Mirror-Mirror” stamp set on an acrylic stamping block and press it firmly on the black inked stamp image. (Make sure that the Mirror stamp is free from dust and foreign particles)
  • You will get a Mirror image of the Snail image on your Mirror- Mirror stamp piece.

So here’s my Finished project

20180723_115111.jpg

Untitled-1.png

step1.png
I have primed the surface with 2 coats of white gesso and have covered the inside with a masking tape so i need not be worried about getting the paint on the photo area.

Have spread white crackle paint randomly using the pallete knife.

20180721_191150.jpg

step2.png
This is the fun part,i prepared some stamped images to make some elements for my frame.choose this flowery stamp have used a black dye ink to stamp my images. To make the mirror image of this flower I stamped the image on to the mirror stamp set from craftyscrappers and then placed a card stock over the mirror stamp and slowly pressed down and the image was transferred  and i had a mirror image, this was a super fun technique.

20180719_122855.jpg

step3.png

U see the mirror image is light,i am no expert in stamping..so please excuse me and i wasnt too worried i just used a black marker pen to darken the lines. Then colored these images using some color pencils and fussy cut them.

20180719_123122.jpg

20180720_140740.jpg

step4

Now it is time to color my frame,i have used Craftyscrappers Chalk paints-Dreamy orangepeelSweet-tea rosecreamy banana
and Lushy orchid shimmer spray to color.
I have diluted these chalk paints with little water and kept adding layers of thiese colors, drying them inbetween each layer of paint. till i was happy with the shades.
And finally added a flower , fussy cut elements ,thread.to add some interest have used some pollens and  Briadal dress shaker elements from craftyscrappers and I was done with my frame.

blog featrured header.jpg

cs-stnl-25[RAINYDAY].jpg

I thought I will combine it with a stamp set I adore. “Sisters for life

Untitled-1.png

step1.png

I colored Elsa and her traditional blue attire using Touchnew alcohol markers.

IMG_7356.JPG

step2.png

I then used the Rainy Day stencil with Gold shimmer paste to create a starry sky on a black paper. I also used shimmer paste in Lilac, Envy and Salmon colours to create a fun rainbow on a scrap white paper using the same stencil. I also silver embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set.

IMG_7357.JPG

step3.png

I then stamped the snowflakes on a metallic blue paper with white ink.
While trying to add shimmer to Elsa’s dress, I spilled the whole bottle of glue glitter on my project. I was heartbroken, and it took me some time to lift everything and clean the mess. But I managed to salvage the project.

IMG_7360.JPG

step4

I stamped and heat embossed some silver snowflakes from the same stamp set. I fussy cut them and stick them over the stamped image. This hid the snowflakes I had stamped and ruined while picking up my glitter glue.

The sentiment goes so well with the starry background and magical rainbow.

IMG_7375.jpg

This card is dimensional and Elsa looks like a rockstar!

So here’s my Finished project

IMG_20180728_170332334.jpg

STEPBY STEP TUT.png

step1.png

I took 10 inch circle shaped MDF board, and prime it using gesso, but instead of using brush, i used palate knife to apply gesso, this way will have texture on the surface, it is the best way to create texture on any surface easily, Next I pasted Skewer Sticks, Backings of canvas and some other wooden embellishments,

this is how it looks :

IMG_20180727_094221956.jpg

step2.png

Further I added some more embellishments like Mini Metal gears, Wooden keys, Pebbles & flat back pearls, Then I covered everything using gesso again.

IMG_20180727_095417070.jpg

step3.png

After everything dries completely. I colored entire project using Craftyscrappers shimmer sprays named “Ocean waves“, “Sweet sunshine“, “Rusty Denim“, “Lushy orchid” after I finish the spraying before it gets dried I tilted the project little bit so this way all the color flew & blend into each other nicely .. these sprays are so amazing that it goes on any surface as you can see here.

step4

I stamped the image from stamp set called “Feathers” and colored the image using acrylic paints. I Just love this stamp set and its perfect focal point for any mixed media project or even cards.

IMG_20180728_153942879.jpg

step5

I added image to the project and to lift the image bit upwards I glue down some cardboard pieces behind the image and paste that on project, you can used double sided foam tape for this process too, And to give more shimmer and sparkle I apply Shimmer paint metallic lustre “Bronze” using dry brush technique, and voila!! this is final & glorious look of the finished Project.
