Hello My Crafty Friends…

Its me Arpita, creative designer @craftyscrappers
Hope you all had a great Diwali.Today I am back on the craftyscrappers blog with a project inspired by our current theme Dusherra and Diwali.
Hope you all like this Diya platter I have made…

To create my project, i have used @craftyscrappers

You can create Cards, layouts, a journal page, Canvases, interactive/3D cards, mixed media, altered art …anything crafty,
With “Diwali”or “Dussehera” Theme in it.
Don’t forget to add the touch of DAZZLE,SPRAKLE & SHINE to your project.
Keep in mind, Craftyscrappers products as focus.

So here is what I made…

A Brief Tutorial

I choose this beautiful mdf cut out as a base for my platter,painted the base with creamy banana chalk paint and also painted a circular mdf piece which would be my base to hold the candle.
I applied the Dazzle texture paste- Grass randomly and as paste was still wet I sprinkled fine gold glitter .
Once this was dry I did dry brushing using brown acrylic paint.
Stamped the flower and the leaf image from the You Are Amazing stamp set to make my elements.
Coloured my stamped images with Bronze and Peacock Feathers Shimmer paints and then fussy cut them.
Final step was to stick all my flowers,resin embelishments, fussy cut flowers and leaves and some Flirty Espresso shaker elements.

RECYCLED CARDBOARD ROLLS with Archana sehgal

Hello My Crafty Friends,

This is Archana here, Creative designer @craftyscrappers, Hope you guys are doing great, and having lots of fun during the festive month.As promised I am back with another mixed media project for you all,and today i will be showing you how to recycle cardboard rolls and make a pretty mixed media art.
I also have a start to finish video tutorial for you, demonstrating how i created this.

To create my projects i have used the following supplies from @craftyscrappers

STAMP SET- INSPIRE

CHALKPAINT- HAZEY CUCUMBER

SHIMMER PASTE- PUMPKIN

SHIMMER SPRAY- DANCING PEACOCK

other than these i have also used metal charms, some of my handmade art stones, thread and micro beads.

So here is my MIXED MEDIA RECYCLED CARDBOARD ROLLS

A BRIEF TUTORIAL:

I took three small size cardboard roll and glue them together.
Next I added cotton cloth using PVA glue, To create more texture on the surface I also added some thread.
After it dries completely, I glue down some jewelry pieces, and to put everything together I glue down some art stones and micro beads.
To prime the project I decided to use chalk paint instead of gesso… the shade I used here is called hazy cucumber. ( I just love the way chalk paint gives colored matt finish and at the same time primes the surface nicely and smoothly )
To give little bit of depth around the object I used shimmer spray “Dancing Peacock” from craftyscrappers.
Next for focal point I added chipboard cutout… here I used fairy and covered this cutout using Craftyscrappers shimmer paste “Sweet Pumpkin” and then glue down that chipboard cutout on to the project.
To finish the project I used sentiment from stamp set called “Inspire”.
I highlighted project with gesso using dry brush technique.

2 EASY & FUN TO MAKE CARDS- GDT ANU THAKUR

Hey there crafty people 🙂

This is Anu and today I’m here as a Guest designer to share

two easy and fun cards with you all.

I created two easy cards Using the stamp sets…

SPARKLING DIWALI

and HELLO SUNSHINE

So Lets go through all my two cards one by one now…

Let’s have a look at the first one.

PROJECT#1: SPARKLING DEEPAWALI CARD

This is a super simple card made using the

background stamping technique.

Let’s see how I did this.

Take a piece of white cardstock (I used canson

watercolor paper here), and start stamping the crackers from CRAFTYSCRAPPERS

“sparkling deepawali” stamp set.

Next color the stamped images.

Here I used watercolors to color all images.I used grey color around the images so that

the images get highlighted.

To finish add a sentiment and adhere it to a

cream color note card.

I stamped one rocket upside down I wanna share why !

Because you know guys there’s always one rocket

in the pack that instead of going up goes down in

opposite direction 😀

So this is it for this card 🙂

PROJECT#2: BIRTHDAY BLOOMS CARD

I must tell you guys I just loved how it came out.

Let’s see how I did this one.

Start with stamping the bunch of flowers with VERSAMARK using CRAFTYSCRAPPERS

“hello sunshine” stamp set.

I embossed the stamped images with white

embossing powder.

I colored the image using watercolors.

I stamped an extra bit of the glass jar.

Now make a note card using an ohp sheet & Stick the stamped image using scor tape.

I stamped the sentiment on vellum sheet to complete the card.

Also I added a mask on the back by tracing the image on white cardstock to hide the tapes showing through the clear sheet.

And this is wrap… 🙂
