YOU ARE SO JAW-SOME STAMP CARDS: a step-by-step tutorial!

Hello Craftyscrappers fans!Vinita here! and today im here to showcase some inspirations  using the fun-filled
You are so Jaw-some stamp set, and stencils from our current Release!

 

 

 

But before I start, let me tell you our challenge for the month of MARCH is ongoing,

You can create Cards, layouts, a journal page, Canvases, interactive/3D cards,
mixed media, altered art…anything crafty,With the FESTIVAL COLORS in it!
(Don’t forget to add the touch of GOLD or SILVER to your creations!)

CARDS#1 
Underwater Ocean scene!

 

I created this card as a Belated Birthday card for my friend.
As she love sharks and movie “Jaws”, so I created a special card for her!

So i created my underwater Ocean scene using
You are so jaw-some stamp set for Craftyscrappers.

I have to say they are freaking adorable!
And there are all sort of details that make them one of a kind,
great tiny elements and so much fun to color. 

along with Craftyscrappers Premium white Cardstock 

Which is a double-coated matt finish carstock, Ideal for stamping/Embossing/Distressing.
The cardstock is around 200gsm in thickness and have a Smooth surface allowing for blending while using markers or water colors.

 

 

 

 

I stamped the shark images on the Premium white CS from CS in jet black Archival ink and colored them with my copic markers and created a textures of tiny dots for more interest and dimension.

 

 

 At the outer edges I gave a thin coat of lighter grey copic marker and fussy cut them. The white sheet is so smooth with Mat finish, love the results and enjoyed coloring my image with markers! You must have this awesome white CS to give it a try!!!

 

Then on white card base to create my underwater scene, I drew a big stone at the bottom with my pencil and stamped some ocean weeds, coral reef images and all tiny elements. Colored them with my copic markers again.

 Using Fading Pattern stencil,

I left the top space blank and applied different DI -Tattered rose, Salty ocean, mermaid lagoon, blueprint sketch using finger daubers to create an ocean scene. Then I blended some DI at the leftover blank space and flicked it with some water droplets. 

Wow, love the amazing outcome, its look like real ocean edge and at the top most with different shades of blue hues!

 

Created a speech banner with a cute sentiment holding by a jaw-some shark and created the whole scene!

 

 

 

I carried away the sentiment inside with Birthday wishes.
Stamped the Ocean waves using two shades of DI with a message bottle.

 

I had so much fun making this card, I adore the ocean Pals.
You can create so many fun cards for different occasions using this one stamp set,
The possibilities are endless!

 

CARD#2
You are so Jaw-some

 

Firstly I used my glittery paste leftover on the stencil from my last holi festival card, I keep that scrap sheet for my next creation and  I used it here!

 

 

 

I quickly placed my stencil on a white CS upside down and pressed firmly and used Ocean Waves Shimmer Spray through the stencil.

 

(Important Tip:  Always try to use your products in an innovative style and never waste them!)

 

 

On a black card base I placed this stenciled panel and added a vellum sheet on it for the visible soft effect.

 

 Using waves images from the You are so Jaw-some stamp set I stamped them in mermaid lagoon DI to create some ocean waves. Watercolored them using blueprint sketch and mermaid lagoon DI and fussy cut them. At the bottom panel, I added that ocean waved panel with  foam dots.

 

Now time to stamp my shark images. I picked up two of the different images from the You are so Jaw-some stamp set. This time I heat embossed my images in Metallic Gold Sparkle EP. Using Soul eggplant and Ocean waves Shimmer spray colors from CS, I watercolored them, easily blended with water and added some tiny dots at the upper body part of the shark images. Added those googly eyes to look like more real! Adhered them with foam dots.

 

 

Added some sea foam waves on the white part of waves for more dimension using Snow Marker and heat embossed them!
Added a sentiment on a black strip in Metallic Gold Rich Pale EP and finished it off with some water dew drops blings!

 

 

 

 

Card 3

Have a FIN-Tastic day Friends

 

Now for this card, once again I used my  Splash stencil as a background creator

which I used in my second card. Before drying those DI, I quickly sprayed some water and placed my inked stencil upside down on a leftover piece of Premium white cardstock from Craftyscrappers.

Get the awesome monochrome marble effect of splashes, love it!!!

By stamping these adorable shark images from You are so Jaw-some stamp set on a vellum sheet and heat embossed in opaque bright white EP, fussy cut them.

 

Die cut some inverted scalloped frames included some from white foam sheet to give some dimensions to my layers.

 For the sentiment I die cut Friend script out of a white foam sheet to make a good stack. Before I die cut my top layer, I added some sticky sheet to the paper. That way I added Sizzling Silver  foil from CS for the sentiment. 

 

 

 

 

 I added  have a fin-tastic day sentiment from the same set in jet black.

2 GORGEOUS CREATE-A-FLOWER(ROSE)STENCIL CARDS : a step-by-step Tutorial!

This is Anila and I am here today on Craftyscrappers blog with a step-by-step tutorial sharing the process of making 2 card using the New releases for the month of March.

So I have two cards using the new layered Create-a-flower (Rose) stencil

 

 

and Craftyscrappers Premium white cardstock

 

 

CREATE-A-SCENE(roses) stencil Cards

This is my first card:

To begin with, I took Craftyscrappers Premium white card stock and colored inks (Whichever available in my stash… you can see that I have clubbed the distress inks along with distress oxide) suitable for layering the flowers and the leaves. 

Once the layering was done, I fussy cut all the flowers and the leaves. and kept aside.

 Next, I started assembling them to make the card.
For the first card, I took three florals and few leaves. On a 4×6 side folding white card base, I adhered the first flower and a leaf directly onto it using liquid adhesive. 

Then I started layering the remaining elements using some foam adhesive.

Once the layering was done, I used the sentiment from Craftyscrappers mini  Bloom stamp set. 

Added a few sequins from my stash and lastly added some fine details using a fine black marker and finished my card.

This is my Second card:

For my second card, I had just one flower and few leaves left. So I made a small 4″x4″ notecard. On a white card, I repeatedly stamped the sentiment from the Damask stamp set using grey ink.

 Next, I arranged the flower and the leaves on the card. Layered few of them with foam adhesive to create some dimension to the card. 

Lastly, added some fine details (Visible in close-ups) to the card using Nuvo drops. and finished my card.

4 GORGEOUS CARDS BY GDT Pratima Diwan: a step-by-step tutorial.

Hi , this is  Pratima Diwan, winner of Craftyscrappers Challenge#20″Love is in the air” and today i am so happy to be on Craftyscrappers blog, to share with you all, 4 of  the cards that i created as a Guest Designer here.

 

A LITTLE  ABOUT ME

“I am from  Delhi. I am a qualified postgraduate engineer. I am a mother of three children and an entrepreneur . I started crafting couple of years ago in my free time. I am now a passionate crafter and hope to start my own crafting venture soon.
Frankly speaking I am not into crafting since my childhood. But some how colours have always fascinated me.I remember how I used to create handmade greeting cards, envelopes and wall decors in my childhood. I think it is in my genes. My mom has been my inspiration. She used to knit sweaters and  embroidered to add personalized touch to whatever she created.I am a self taught crafter and I am very passionate about it. I recently took few professional classes as well. My work has found home in many states of India.”

MY CRAFTING STYLE:

I do not have any favourite crafting style but I love to create different things with my personalized touch to make it different from other creations. Whenever I get an order I request my costumer to allow me to experiment with it in my own way.
Though I do not get much time to craft but you can always find time for something you love. I hardly watch T.V or hang around with friends . I choose to craft whatever time I get.

MY INSPIRATION:

As i mentioned above that my parents and my sister  have been my biggest inspiration as they have always encouraged me.My kids and my husband has always appreciated my work . When I started crafting there were very few people in India who actually motivated me. To name few I was most influenced by the work of :

MY VIEWS ABOUT craftyscrappers

Craftyscrappers has versatile range of products and I have been following craftyscrappers from past few months. They have beautiful collection of stamps and stencils and the best part is that they customize the stamp and stencil size according to our needs . It’s our own “Made in India “Brand and I have always taken pride in the products made in my own country and I always prefer to encourage the entrepreneurs from my own country . When they are working hard day and night to give us quality products of international standards then it is our duty to encourage them by taking pride in whatever good  they are doing .
I love their variety in designs and the themes of stamps which include Indian festival stamps as well . Moreover craftyscrappers provides us a great platform to showcase our talent with the world.

Onto my cards now…

For all of my cards, i have used Craftyscrappers
“ IM STUCK ON YOU ” Stamp set.

This trendy succulent stamp set, “Im stuck on you”  includes striking, artsy plants and cool pots to create a myriad of delightful designs, with Punny coordinating sentiments that can be used for birthday, and love greetings and this is what make this stamp set one that you’ll be glad to be stuck with!

CARD#1 

A BRIEF TUTORIAL

• To begin with I stamped the images from the stamp set, “im stuck on you” using  Stampoholic stamp positioning tool and black archival ink.
• I also created masks using  Stampoholic and fussy cut them using fussy cutting scissors.
• I colored the images using Zig Brush markers and fussy cut the stamped images.
• I took the cardstock and added some designs in the background using Craftyscrappers “create-a-scene(sunburst)” stencil. 
• Finally stamped the sentiment. “Im stuck on you” on a panel tag i created and added it to the card with some twine and wooden paper clip.

CARD#2

A BRIEF TUTORIAL

• Used Craftyscrappers “Bricks” mini stencil and distressed the background.
• stamped and fuzzy cut the succulent on to a piece of watercolor paper.
• colored them using zig markers.
• created a twine hanger for hanging the succulent image on to my card.
• used a brad to adhere the hanger to place.
• stamped the,”im stuck on you” sentiment from the same sentiment onto a circular tag and adhered it to the card panel and finished the card.

CARD#3

A BRIEF TUTORIAL:

• For this  card I first stamped the succulent images from the same stamp set on to a water color paper.
• colored them using zig markers.
• Used the “bricks” mini stencil to create a beautiful wall background using brown distress inks.
• fuzzy cut the stamped,colored images and kept it aside.
• created Jute  twine hanger for the pot and made a hook using brad.
• finally stamped the sentiment, “promise i wont desert you ever” using white embossing powder onto a piece of white card stock.
• Hanged the sentiment using the twine hanger with the brad i created earlier.

CARD#4

A BRIEF TUTORIAL:

• For this card, i created the cloud background using craftyscrapper, “create-a-scene(clouds,land and grass) stencil.
• distress it using blue distress inks.
• die cut the grass onto a green card stock
• die cut the cart to a grey card stock and kept separately.
• stamped a bunch of images from the same stamp set.
• colored them using zig markers and adhered them onto the cart die cut.
• added some mini butterflies that i die cut earlier and added soft colors to the butterflies.
• Stamped the sentiment,”i aloe you very much” using white embossing powder onto a black card stock.
• Finally adhered all the pieces to the card panel and finished the card.
