 Today I am going to share with you a summer card where i have done mirror image stamping.

So here’s my Finished POOL PARTY MIRROR IMAGE STAMPING Card:

 

 

A BRIEF TUTORIAL:

• Firstly, I stamped the image of the boy on Craftyscrappers Premium white card stock, colored it using color pencils and fussy cut it.
•  Then to get the mirror image of the same image i stamped before, I used mirror stamps
• i stamped the image of the boy on one of the mirror stamp and then stamped it again on a card stock.
• I colored this image with pencil colors and fussy cut it.
• i used premium white card stock from craftyscrappers as a base of my card, for the bottom portion i used tubby craft aqua blue ink and for upper portion i did repetitive stamping using different small stamps from stamp set ‘pool party’.
• I adhered the fussy cut images using adhesive foam tape and stuck entire panel to blue card stock.
• I finished my card with stamping the sentiment from same stamp set.

ELEGANT MIXED MEDIA CARD: a brief tutorial-By DT:ARPITA TORNAL

Hello my crafty friends!

 

Its me Arpita, creative designer @craftyscrappers and i am on the blog today,
with an inspirational post, where i will be Sharing with you all ,a very elegant.. Beautiful and a very simple to make,Mixed media card.

 

 

White and Gold is a very classy combination and so today have kept this card clean,simple and elegant.

To make this elegant card, i have used Craftyscrappers Beautiful stamp set, called…

FEATHERS

This “feathers” Stamp set, is very pretty and have some really nice coordinating sentiments. The peacock feathers dress itself is a masterpiece here and i had so much fun creating my card using this stamp set.

So here’s my Finished ELEGANT MIXED MEDIA CARD

 

 

 

A BRIEF TUTORIAL:

• The card base approximately measures 6.5 * 6 inches.
• to add some texture i used texture paste through  the leaf stencil and  colored it using gold wax.
• Next stamped the image on to a smaller panel using watermark ink pad and embossed the image using gold embossing powder,did the same with the feather image from the same stamp set and fussy cut them.
• Stuck a gold and white pattern paper on to the card base using foam tape and tore the paper in random places for the stencil work to show.
• then added the stamped panel again using some foam tape.
• added some cheese cloth which i coloured using some gold  butter choclate shimmer paint.
• and finally addded the fussy cut feathers and some seed beads.

3INTERACTIVE 3D CARDS: using CS goodie bag!

Hello Wonderful people,
This is Uma Didwaniya, winner of the

and today i am at Craftyscrappers blog to share with you my inspirations as a GUEST DESIGNER, for the month.

WALLET FOLIO ORGANIZER: a tutorial! and NOVEMBER RELEASE STAMP SETS!!!

This is Aditi and Sunila and We’re back on the blog with a fun tutorial for you all.

Today we’re creating a Wallet Folio Organizer, which can be gifted to the woman in your life- your mom, sister, aunt, wife, daughter, anyone :)!

But before i get into that, let me tell you…

Okay so without further ado… lets begin the tutorial!

 

 

Start with a sheet of White Cardstock- 8.5″ x 12″

 

 

 

Score the sheet on the 12″ side at 5 1/8″ and 10 3/8″. This will give you the basic shape of the folio with a side flap.

 

 

 

This is optional. You could round the edges of the entire sheet.

 

 

 

 

Let’s work on our closure. We are using three magnets to close the flap. You could use velcro or any other mechanism of your choice. First glue down the three magnets on the page that closes inside to the left.

 

 

Place a few things inside the folio to make it a little bulky. Add drops of glue on top of the magnet, and close the flap. This way the glue gets transferred onto the flap and you will know where to place your opposite magnets. Seal your magnets with tape.

 

Let’s make our pockets. For this cut white cardstock pieces of the following measurements- 3.5″ x 9.5″ (1piece- left pocket); 4 3/3″ x 9.5″ (1piece- right pocket); 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ (2 pieces right overlapping pockets)

Score the bigger pieces at 1/2″ on three sides and the smaller pieces at 1/4″ on three sides.

Fold along the score lines. And cut the corners at an angle.

 

Here’s a look at the pockets for inside of the folio.

 

 

Using a circle punch, cut a semi-circle at the centre of each pocket.

With this our basic construction of the Folio is ready. Let’s decorate it.

 

 Cut pieces of pattern paper for your folio base inside and outside. We chose two different patterns and cut three pieces each of the following measurements- 4 7/8″ x 8 1/4″; 5″ x 8 1/4″; 1 1/2″ x 8 1/4″. Distress the edges using your coordinating Distress Ink. At every step, if you have rounded your corners, ensure you do the same to your pattern papers.

Using the same ink and the French Script Stencil, add another dimension to the pattern paper.

 

Using a different pattern paper cut pieces for the pockets as per the following measurements- 2 3/4″ x 8 1/4″; 4 1/8″ x 8 1/4″; 2 3/8″ x 4 1/8″. On the bigger pockets- using the French Script Stencil and Salmon Shimmer Paste add texture to these pieces. Once dry, using the Sliced Dots Stencil and Shimmer Spray Sweet Pumpkin, add further dimension. On the smaller pockets- using the Sliced Dots Stencil and Shimmer Spray Grape Juice add some interest.

Distress the edges of these papers with the same ink as above. Begin gluing your pieces. Glue the pattern paper onto the pockets first. While that dries, glue the paper inside the folio and then the pockets.

Lastly, For our front cover, we added some Salmon Shimmer Paste with the Sliced Dots Stencil for texture. Stamp the ‘Being Traditional’ lady stamp on a piece of cardstock and colour it. We used the same spray inks and fussy cut it. We used a MDF Frame, coloured it with the same inks, and added some design with a background stamp and black ink. Assemble these onto your cover. We used a piece of gauge behind our layering. We also added ‘Wishing Happy Moments’ on the cover using the ‘Happy’ stamp set directly on the cover. To embellish our pockets, we stamped some flowers and leaves from the ‘Sending Smiles’ Stamp set and coloured them with Zig markers. Fussy cut and stuck them.

Here is the sketch that you need to use to create your make for the submission.

CHALLENGE#16:”Sparkle It Up”

We had a nice number of cards and other crafty creations this month for our October challenge and several email, facebook and instagram entries.
Despite the festivities going on…  everyone had a little time to enter the challenge!
we had so many wonderful entries for this challenge… Lots of shimmery.. sparkly.. and dazzling creations were seen.

Let me share  the entries that made it to the Challenge.
(We apologize for removing few entries submitted to us, as those entries did not match our challenge rules and were hence not applicable for the challenge.)

Aren’t these creations gorgeous… they indeed are!!!!

We absolutely adored each and every entry by these talented people and we had a hard time deciding on the winner.
There was a tie between Uma didwaniya and vinita jain, whose creation  received a huge majority of votes and appreciation from everyone!

But the majority of votes that made the the winner for the
challenge#16: “sparkle it up” is:

who created this super gorgeous and sparkly Birthday Special EXPLOSION BOX,
She used our stamp set- Be Mine to create her make.

Interactive card by DT Member

 

A brief description:
On how to create this Interactive card.

• Background is made using mini Brick stencil and Sizzling Silver Fun Foil.
• For the other half I have covered the card with pattern paper but after using a splash of Shimmer Spray, “Sweet Sunshine” & some pink acrylic colour splashes.
• Cute mermaids, sentiment & the background stamping is done using stamp set “Mermaid Wishes”.
• Coloured the images using pearl acrylic colours.
• Used Pieces of vellum to make base for mermaids.

 

 

Clean & Simple Layout by DT Member 

We used a lot of CraftyScrappers Products for this one and kept our layout simple.

A brief description:
On how to create this Clean & Simple Layout.

• For our background, we used the Rose Bunch Stencil with Splash Stem Shimmer paste and then added some colour with Bitter Lemon Shimmer Spray.
• We used the Sliced Dots Stencil with Ocean Waves Shimmer Spray on a separate piece of white cardstock and die cut it for our layering.
• We stamped the Being Indian Stamp, coloured the image and fussy cut it.
• We stamped some flowers and leaves from the Sending Smiles set, coloured and fussy cut them.
• After arranging these elements we chose our title. It is an MDF piece combined with stamping from the ”Happy” Stamp set.
• We coloured our MDF title with the same shimmer paste and at a few places sprayed the shimmer spray to get a multi-tone effect.
• We adhered all the elements and used some rhinestones, to finish the page!

 

Mixed Media Home Decor Project by DT Member

 

 

For this project I have used lot of awesome supplies from Craftyscrappers.

A brief description:

On how to create this Mixed Media Home Decor

• For this project,I took a simple silver card stock and applied some Ash shimmer paste and let it dry.
• Once its dried I run it through an embossing folder.Then I stuck this sheet to cardboard.
• For second layer I took a gift wrapping shimmery sheet and again embossed it with same folder,then stuck that on top of base with help of double sided tape.
• After that I stuck a window die cut from one of the pattern papers.
• Next I used Craftyscrappers “IM Stuck On U” stamp set to stamp and water color these beautiful succulents.I did fussy cutting to these stamps and again attached with double sided tape.
• The sentiment is a metal embellishment stuck on a background created using same ash shimmer paste and some blue and green metallic paints.

 

Mixed Media Layout by DT Member 

 

 

A brief description:
to create this lovely layout:

•  Select a pattern paper of your choice.
• Take some generous quantity of texture paste and spray shimmer spray “Grape Juice” to it.
• Mix it well and apply this paste to the corner of the page using Feather Stencil from the store.
• Next take a MDF sentiment and apply a coat of gesso to it.
• Once dry spray it with shimmer sprays “sweet Pumpkin” and “Grape Juice”.
  Both the shades blended so well to give a beautiful shiny colour effect.
• Spray these shimmer sprays to few mulberry paper flowers as well.
• Arrange all the embellishments to the layout.
